Jerusalem in February: 200 injuries and 191 detainees 

Data collected by Europeans for al-Quds Organization showed that the Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks in the occupied city of Jerusalem during February 2022. They also dedicated the settlement and Judaization policy as an attempt to change the identity of Jerusalem. The Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood was the scene of daily attacks from the occupation and colonial settlers.
The monthly report on violations of the Israeli occupation in Jerusalem during the month of February monitored that the Israeli army committed 1372 violations distributed among 15 types of human rights violations. The majority of these violations are complex, and at the forefront of them came beatings and abuse with 16.1%, followed by intrusions and raids with 16.1%, injuries by 14.6% and arrests by 13.9%.
The Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the city of Jerusalem was the scene of widespread attacks by the occupation forces and settlers that intensified starting on February 12 and continued daily. The attacks were led by the extremist MK Itamar Ben Gvir, who worked to open an office for him on the land of the Salem family, who are threatened with evacuating their home and land to be handed over to settlers.
In fact, the settlers attacks in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the attempts to forcibly displace Palestinian citizens and seize their homes and lands constitute a crime that amounts to ethnic cleansing.
The report documented 123 shooting incidents and direct attacks by the Israeli occupation forces in the neighborhoods of occupied Jerusalem. The Europeans for al-Quds team documented during this month that the occupation forces carried out 218 raids into the towns and neighborhoods of Jerusalem. As a result, 191 citizens, including 16 children and at least 16 women were arrested. In addition, 13 others were summoned, while house arrest was imposed on 6 Palestinian citizens.
The occupation forces carried out 29 demolitions and distributed notices, which resulted in the destruction of 14 houses, 11 of which were self demolished, which led to the forced displacement of 82 citizens, including children and women. Israeli occupation also destroyed 7 commercial facilities and seized a house, and distributed at least 48 demolition or halt construction and eviction notices.
Settler associations have seized a new property in the Ras al-Amoud neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In addition, attempts by the occupation and settlers to seize the land and home of the Salem family in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem continued continued.
During this month, Europeans for al-Quds monitored 9 Israeli decisions to perpetuate settlements and try to change the identity of the Arab city. Most notably the allocation of a budget of 800,000 shekels for settlement projects, and a plan to build 6,750 settlement units in Jerusalem, including the establishment of a new settlement neighborhood on part of the land Ain Karem, Wadi Al-Sarar, and the village of Sataf. As well as orders to confiscate approximately 1,000 dunums of the lands of the Sawahrah wilderness located east of occupied Jerusalem.
The report also revealed a plan to seize the properties of the Eastern Christian churches in the Mount of Olives, east of occupied Jerusalem, in favor of expanding the so-called national park around the city walls, and constructing new roads, with the aim of linking the settlements established in the center and south of the occupied West Bank, with the settlements established in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
During this month, 3,726 settlers participated in the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which was repeated over a period of 22 days, with two periods per day. The report also monitored 5 other attacks, as the occupation forces stormed the Al-Qibli Chapel and prevented worshipers from the West Bank from reaching it.
The Israeli occupation authorities continued to implement the policy of deportation from Al-Aqsa Mosque or the city of Jerusalem. During this month it issued 10 decisions of deportation from Al-Aqsa Mosque and the neighborhoods of Jerusalem.
The settlers continued to carry out attacks against citizens in occupied Jerusalem. During this month, European for al-Quds documented 26 attacks carried out by settlers, which resulted in the injury of at least 11 male and female citizens, and damage to about 30 vehicles. In addition, 44 raids carried out by settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
During this month, the report monitored 64 permanent and surprise flying checkpoints, 7 street closures, 3 travel bans, 5 attacks and repression of journalists.
