In its monthly report on the Israeli occupation’s violations in Jerusalem, the organization said the authorities maintained its Judaization, settlement policy, aiming at changing the occupied city’s identity, and displacement plans continued to haunt many of the city’s neighborhoods.

During the month, the Israeli occupation forces carried out 73 shootings and physical assaults in the city. As a result, 283 civilians were wounded, including many children and women, while 157 others were injured due to physical attacks or tear gas inhalation.

In addition, 6 structures and 4 other properties were demolished. Moreover, 3 homes and facilities were notified to be deomlished.

The IOF continued to perpetuate the settlement and Judaization of 5 decisions, including the seizure of 22,000 dunams of the lands of the town of Al-Sawahrah Al-Sharqiah, the expansion of the Jabal Abu Ghneim settlement at the expense of about 90 dunums of the lands of the towns of Sur Baher and Umm Tuba.

During the month, 6,191 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque over 22 days in two periods in each day.

The Israeli authorities issued 17 decisions to remove Palestinians from Al-Aqsa Mosque and the neighborhoods of Jerusalem, while the settlers continued to carry out attacks against the Jerusalemites. During this month, Europeans for al-Quds documented 22 attacks carried out by settlers, in addition to 19 incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque.

During March, the Israeli forces placed 80 permanent and flying checkpoints, closed five streets, issued a travel ban against a Palestinian, carried out nine attacks on freedoms and journalists.

The report concluded that Israel seeks to change the city’s demography through official policies and by giving the settlers and settlement associations a free hand to control as many properties as they can in the city. In addition, the Al-Aqsa Mosque remained at the forefront of the Israeli targeting, as the occupation’s attempt to impose a temporal and spatial division on the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Organization called on the international community to assume responsibility towards Jerusalem and the Palestinians and to protect them as residents of an occupied area in accordance with the resolutions of the Security Council and the General Assembly, and to bear responsibility towards them in accordance with the occurrence of Jerusalem and the UN General Assembly Resolution 18 under the Universal Declaration of Responsibility.
