The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) injured 68 Palestinians and arrested at least 173 others during massive attacks in occupied Jerusalem last June, according to data collected by Europeans for al-Quds Organization.
The Temple groups implemented 4 mechanisms to dedicate the performance of the Talmudic prayers and rituals in Al-Aqsa Mosque, at a time when the Israeli authorities escalated the procedures of Judaization and attempts to impose a new fait accompli in the mosque and the entire city of Jerusalem.
The IOF have committed 772 violations that fall within 16 types of human rights violations in Jerusalem during last June. Most of these violations were complex. Incursions and raids came at the forefront of these violations with a percentage of 29.5%, followed by arrests, 22.4%.
During June, the IOF carried out 50 shootings and direct attacks in the neighborhoods of occupied Jerusalem. As a result, 68 civilians were wounded, with bullets and tear gas canisters. In addition, more than 77 others were exposure to direct beatings and abuse.
The report said that 228 raids into towns and neighborhoods of Jerusalem were carried out, during which 173 Palestinians were arrested, including 35 children and women, 29 others were summoned, and house arrest was imposed on at least 21.
The report also monitored 32 demolitions and the distribution of notices, which resulted in the destruction of 6 housing units, which led to the displacement of 20 people, including children and women. In addition, more than 10 homes and facilities were notified to be demolished.
During June, the Supreme Court of Israel allowed the Ateret Cohanim settlement association to seize property belonging to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in East Jerusalem. The decision allows the settlement association to seize the Imperial and Petra hotels in Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Square in Bab Al-Khalil in the Old City, and the Moadhamiya building in the town. The IOF also confiscated a bulldozer and construction equipment in Jerusalem.
The IOF continued to perpetuate the settlement and Judaization of 6 decisions, including building 820 new settlement units as part of the construction plan in two areas south of the Old City, and a settlement plan aimed at establishing a “national park” on an area of about (one million acres) between Jerusalem and the Dead Sea, A new plan separates the “Al-Masara neighborhood” from “Bab Al-Amoud” and “the rest of Jerusalem’s neighborhoods”, and the implementation of works in the “Citadel of David’s Minaret”, in the Bab Al-Khalil area in Old Jerusalem, with the aim of Judaizing and falsifying historical facts.
During the month, 4,492 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque over 22 days in two periods in each day.
At the beginning of this month, the right-wing temple groups tried to dedicate the performance of Talmudic rituals and prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque with the aim of turning them into permanent gains, through 4 means, which were the repetition of the so-called epic prostration in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa, performing loud collective public prayers, and reciting religious hymns and Nationalism chants in loudly at Al-Aqsa, and storming the mosque in white clothes exclusively, which are the clothes of penitence that the “temple priests” should wear as long as they are serving the temple according to the religious teachings of these groups. Finally, the consecration of the western grove to the Dome of the Rock, after which it is a fixed prayer point next to the eastern courtyard.
Europeans for al-Quds Organization warned that these four practices seek to perpetuate dealing with Al-Aqsa Mosque after it is an existing temple, by reviving all the peculiarities of the temple that have been destroyed by its collapse according to the religious narrative, a danger that transcends the temporal and spatial division of Al-Aqsa by jumping into the conflict over the nature and identity of Al-Aqsa.
The Israeli authorities issued 22 decisions to remove Palestinians from Al-Aqsa Mosque and the neighborhoods of Jerusalem, while the settlers continued to carry out attacks against the Jerusalemites. During this month, Europeans for al-Quds documented 18 attacks carried out by settlers, in addition to 22 incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque
During June, the Israeli forces placed 71 permanent and flying checkpoints, closed 7 streets, issued a travel ban against a Palestinian, carried out 4 attacks on freedoms and journalists.
