Europeans for al-Quds: 1 killed, 17 injuries, 16 Judaization plans in August in Jerusalem

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued their violations in the city of Jerusalem and tried to threaten the Palestinian Arab presence in the city through unjust Judaizing measures.

Europeans for al-Quds documented in its report that the IOF have committed 803 violations that fall within 16 types of human rights violations in Jerusalem during last August.

During August, the IOF carried out 57 shootings and direct attacks in the neighborhoods of occupied Jerusalem. As a result, 17 civilians were wounded, with bullets and tear gas canisters. In addition, more than 28 others were exposure to direct beatings and abuse.

The report said that 240 raids into towns and neighborhoods of Jerusalem were carried out, during which 172 Palestinians were arrested, including 17 children and 5 women, 14 others were summoned, and house arrest was imposed on at least 12.

The report also monitored 35 demolitions and the distribution of notices, which resulted in the destruction of 21 housing units or parts of them, the destruction of 11 facilities, and carrying out 6 bulldozing operations.

The occupation seeks to impose a demographic change in the city of Jerusalem, and that it employs all its governmental, political and security arms for this purpose. On the other hand, it gives the settlers and their settlement associations a free hand to control the largest possible number of properties in the city.

During July, the IOF continued to perpetuate the settlement and Judaization of 16 decisions. The most prominent of which are 3 major strategic Judaization projects, which the occupation authorities are working on building in the vicinity of the Mughrabi Gate leading to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the approval of the construction of more than 4,358 new settlement units.

The Israeli authorities issued 26 decisions to remove Palestinians from Al-Aqsa Mosque and the neighborhoods of Jerusalem, while the settlers continued to carry out attacks against the Jerusalemites.

During the month, 7113 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque over 23 days in two periods in each day.

In conjunction with the 52nd anniversary of the arson attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, an Israeli plan of five pillars was revealed to weaken the walls of Al-Aqsa and disrupt its structure, as part of a strategic plan to change its civilized reality by imposing Judaization on it.

During June, the Israeli forces placed 69 permanent and flying checkpoints, closed 7 streets, issued a travel ban against a Palestinian, carried out 13 attacks on freedoms and journalists.

Europeans for al-Quds Organization warned that these four practices seek to perpetuate dealing with Al-Aqsa Mosque after it is an existing temple, by reviving all the peculiarities of the temple that have been destroyed by its collapse according to the religious narrative, a danger that transcends the temporal and spatial division of Al-Aqsa by jumping into the conflict over the nature and identity of Al-Aqsa.
