Europeans for al-Quds: Israeli occupation kills 3 Palestinians and arrests 129 during March

The Europeans for al-Quds organization said that Israeli occupation forces killed 3 Palestinians, including two children, and wounded 8 others in occupied Jerusalem during the month of March.

In its monthly report monitoring violations in Jerusalem, the organization monitored (47) shooting incidents and direct attacks by the Israeli occupation forces in the neighborhoods of occupied Jerusalem. As a result, 3 citizens, including a child, were killed, 8 others were injured, and dozens suffered from suffocation, in addition to at least 26 citizens being beaten and abused.

The report states that the IOF carried out 368 raids on Palestinian towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, arresting 129 Palestinians, including 6 children and 4 women. In addition, 17 were placed under house arrest.

The report also documented 10 demolitions during which the occupying forces destroyed 4 housing units and 3 facilities. During the month, demolition notices were also distributed.

During this month, the Israeli authorities issued 3 settlement decisions: converting Palestinian land in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood into a parking lot for settlers’ vehicles, constructing a settlement road, and approving the construction of 3,500 settlement units, within the framework of Judaizing the city, consecrating settlement, and imposing a fait accompli.

The report indicated that 3,155 settlers and hundreds of people under the name of tourists participated in the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which was repeated over a period of 20 days. The occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque about 6 times to prevent people from secluding themselves after Tarawih prayers.

The Israeli occupation authorities also continued to implement the policy of deportation from Al-Aqsa Mosque or the city of Jerusalem, and during this month they issued 317 deportation decisions.

The report documented (14) attacks carried out by settlers, which included attacks on citizens and their property, acts of incitement against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA), and threats to its workers.

The organization confirmed that the occupation forces continue to exploit their aggression on the Gaza Strip to escalate their violations in occupied Jerusalem, attacking Jerusalemites and holy sites, and attempting to Judaize the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Violations also continued during the month of Ramadan, including an attempt to obstruct worshippers’ access to Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the policy of preventing seclusion during the month of Ramadan continued.

Europeans for Jerusalem warned of the seriousness of the violations taking place in Jerusalem and the free hand of settler extremists to carry out attacks against citizens, attempting to impose new realities in Al-Aqsa Mosque while increasing the suffering of Jerusalemites. They highlighted the continuation of Judaization policies, repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the attempt to impose a temporal division of the mosque and spatially, the repeated attacks on the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall and the attempt to close it.
